CONTESTANTS

The contest is open to any amateur photographer residing in any country of the world.

SUBJECT

We will accept all kinds of mountain photos with an accent on aesthetics and composition above all.

CLOSING DATE

The deadline is 30th April 2010.

PRESENTATION OF ORIGINALS

Each participant may e-mail to calendar2011@osso.es a maximum of 2 photographs. They should comply with the following requirements:

* Landscape format with JPG extension.
* Minimum width of 1024 pixels and height of 768, with a minimum 72 ppi resolution. Should the proportions were not these ones, OSSO.es could trim the images so as to comply with this condition.
* Minimum weight of 500KB and maximum of 3MB.

Photographs can be taken using any sort of camera although they should be sent in a digital format with the aforementioned requirements.

The digital post-processing of photographs is allowed so as to improve its quality, such as contrast, brightness, levels…

When sending the image we will not ask for any data -although it is advisory to send the title or, at least, the place were the photo was taken-. The e-mail address will be included in OSSO´s automated information file (see below "Privacy") to send him or her contest related information and OSSO. When selecting the 13 winners, they should state their name and surname, together with the photo´s title or the place were it was taken.

PRIZES

The winner will have his/her photo published in the front-page of the OSSO calendar 2011, and will choose any piece of equipment that OSSO will make available for the 2010-11 season. The remaining awarded photos corresponding to each calendar month of the year will receive free 3 table calendars per selected image.

All the prizes will be given in OSSO´s shop in Zaragoza. If the collection of the prizes is not possible, the winner may be sent them by ordinary post with the receiver paying for the shipment.

RIGHTS

The contestant must be the sole copyright owner of the photograph submitted and must ensure that no third parties will claim any right regarding the photographs sent to the contest. OSSO will not be responsible for possible fraud,regarding ownership of the photographs submitted to the contest.

OSSO will reproduce the photographs in its web site corresponding to the calendar 2011 the awarded images (accompanied by its title and the author´s name), so that they can be downloaded as background images, web photo-galleries, screensavers, promotional material for future contests… always with a non-profit purpose. In addition, a paper calendar will be published (and/or other merchandising items) that might be given for free or sold at cost price, again with a non-profit purpose.

Prize winners will cede all copyrights of the awarded photographs to OSSO.

JURY

Out of the hundreds of sent pictures, the OSSO.es web team will make a first pre-selection. This will be sent to the selected jury, taking as a first choice the winner of OSSO´s calendar 2010, Mr Pablo Ramos Francés. Should this person not be available, OSSO.es will choose some other person whose name will be published in this web page before the photo deadline.

The final result will be published at OSSO.es, latest the 15th June 2010 and will be e-mailed to the prize-winners.

Any unforeseen incident not regulated in these contest rules which may arise will be solved by OSSO.es

AGGREEMENT

Anyone sending their photos for the OSSO calendar 2011 accepts each of the aforementiond contest rules.
