Why
the name OSSO?
There is a Himalayan legend, more than 2000
years old, about a yak shepherd called OSSOSOSO:
he was a Tibetan teenager so fond of the mountain beauty that
he abandoned humans to live in the Kingdom of Snows.
He never returned.
That is why when the Himalayan peoples of Bhutan,
Tibet and Nepal reach their summits and mountain passes, they
still worship the young OSSO as a God by
throwing coloured prayers in the wind, shouting up His name:

LHA GYAL-OSSOSOSO!
