-What will your equipment be for the race?
I´ll be wearing a pair of tights, a thermal Konzo
shirt, a fleece Sato
vest and a Suri
X-tex jacket. I´ll also be wearing your fleece hat,
two pairs of socks (inner Elbrus),
and waterproof running shoes. When the race
is over I´ll have the down
jacket and the Ibon
winter pants.
-How about the weather condition?
Even though March is summer time in the Southern
hemisphere, I expect -10ºC with likely
snow flurries and strong gales,
so windproof garments are a must against the wind chill. By
the way, unlike the North Pole (where we
had to run on iced water, as there is no land), we´ll
be running on a dirt road joining the scientific stations
from Russia, China, Uruguay and Chile, so I will
also be using your OSSO
raid
gaiters.
